The Food Servers Series ©1998 Faye Cummings This gallery features high quality prints of my acrylic and acrylic collage paintings from The Food Server series. It was autumn of 1998 when I visited several cafes and got permission to photograph a few of the people working behind the counter. Back in my studio I used the photographs for compositional reference and enjoyed playing with color and texture. Green Tea One, Two, and Ordering all feature different views of the same young woman in a green sweater who graciously allowed me a glimpse into her working world. These prints would be great displayed as a trio on Gallery Wrapped canvas and would be an especially nice group to feature in cafe or restaurant decor.
